boinc-dev software package provides development files to build applications for BOINC projects, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install boinc-dev
boinc-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the boinc-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep boinc-dev *
You will get with boinc-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
